Production of grapes

Obtained from a careful selection of Aglianico grapes grown in hilly, calcareous-clay soils at an altitude between 200 and 350 m above sea level in the Solopaca sub-area on the slopes of the Taburno-Camposauro Regional Park. The training system is espalier with a yield of 80 / Ha and average age between 10 and 25 years. The harvest takes place from the month of October.


The grapes are harvested by hand and conferred on the farm; it follows the de-stemming and the soft pressing of the grains. The vinification in purity is carried out with maceration on the skins with pumpovers; fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. After a short stay in large Slavonian oak barrels, the wine is aged in barriques for a period ranging from 18 to 24 months; it is then bottled to continue maturation.

Features and combinations

The color is intense ruby ​​red, the nose is complex with pleasant hints of ripe red fruit and jam with hints of spice. The taste is enveloping, complex with a good persistence, pleasantly tannic. Ideal for pairing with red meats and game. Serving temperature 16-18 ° C.[0]=c9defc15f567228f56b9e6107b3c267d
